1. Prospect Point (Zero Point) Ziarat

Situated 2713 metres above sea level, Zero Point is six kilometres from Ziarat. The valley opens out in front of you in undulating hills, the wind screaming through the trees.

From a nearby cliff, one can easily see Khilafat, the highest peak of these highlands, at 3487 metres high. There is a little rest area close by. Reserving a spot in advance is easy with the Ziarat Deputy Commissioner's office.

2. Ziarat Juniper Forest (UNESCO Site) 

Being the location of Pakistan's largest juniper forest—which is also reputed to be the second-largest in the world—this place is ideal for hiking, trekking, and picnics. In the woodland reside several animal species, such as black bear and Markhor.

Among the more than 250,000 acres of Ziarat Juniper Forest, you can find some of the oldest trees on Earth. Some of them are thought to be 7,000 years old.


3. Ziarat Residency

Ziarat Residency is also known as Quaid e Azam Residency. For the last seventy days of Jinnah's life, A S Nathaniel looked after him here. The Ziarat residence was built in 1892, while the British Raj was in power. It is a national monument and a historically significant place with notable architecture. Since 2006, the Quaid-e-Azam Residency has been featured on rupee notes costing one hundred.


4. Shrine of Baba Kharwari

Baba Kharwari's shrine is located 8 kilometres from Ziarat town. His true name was Tahir, and he was a member of Sarang Zai. He became a student of Nana Sahib and is credited with a lot of miracles.

Many people pay their respects to his shrine and make sacrifices in his honour. The tribesmen congregate around the shrine during the Eid celebration to compete in wrestling.


5. Zizri Forest Valley (Zindra)

It is located 14km from Ziarat. Zindra is a Pushto word that means “four grinding mills”. Zizri is one of Ziarat's most lovely valleys. The valley is situated at a distance of 12 km south of Ziarat town. After a 2 km journey through the woodland, a single road about 1.5km from Prospect Point can lead you to the valley. 


6. Faran Tangi (Fern Tangi)

Tangi is a Pashto term that refers to areas that are surrounded by mountains. Fern Tangi is located 10 kilometres from Ziarat, on the Quetta-Ziarat highway. A little waterfall pours down from the alpine spring. The waterfall is a 2-kilometre walk from the main road and is a great spot for a picnic.


7. Sandeman Tangi

Sandeman Tangi is a little town around 4 kilometres from Ziarat. It has a beautiful waterfall pouring down the rocks, which is a popular tourist destination. Droond Tangai was the previous name for the waterfall. Many people felt that there were real spirits present. However, it was later renamed after Sir Robert Sandeman.


8. Domera Waterfall Ziarat

About 21 kilometers from Ziarat, on Khurwari Baba Road, is the waterfall known as Domera. But it takes over an hour to get to these lovely golden water streams and this little five-foot waterfall because of the shape of the steep, twisting route from Ziarat that passes past Baba Khurwari Shrine and thick, dense Juniper Forest.


9. Chashma Walk

There is a mile-long area of level terrain between the ever-ascending hills and the deep ravine that is great for a calm walk. This is the "Chashma Walk," which leads to the town's water source, a spring or "Chashma." It is located 2 km away from the Complex of PTDC Motel.


10. Chutair Valley

The lovely Chutair Valley is located 13 kilometres from Ziarat on the road to Loralai. Chutair is a 30-minute drive from Ziarat. In the valley, there are several grassy picnic areas. If you wish to remain longer, there is also a rest house.

Chutair Tangi is a nearby attraction worth seeing. The moment you set foot in this area, the tangi is formed by the mountains. Walking for only four or five minutes from the starting place, you'll reach the tangi's most important area. Water runs in between two massive rocks that encircle it.
